Vintage Kashmiri Vase and Bird Design Rug
This is a finely hand-knotted, Persian vase design rug made in Kashmir India. It has almost 600 knots per square inch and measures 32″ x 49″w/o fringes, 32 x 59 w/fringes. It is in pristine condition with its original fringes and sides intact.
Its design is intricate and mesmerizing. Look at the looming animal face flanked by birds and the another set of bird wings artistically hovering above in each corner while the design sprouts from a vase a the center bottom of the rug. Its design stems from the 17th century Persian vase rugs.
It an be used used as a floor rug or hung on the wall for s stunning visual display.
Its condition is excellent and was previously hung.
