Description:
Very old geometric village runner with 5 medallions from the Sarab region in Northwest Persia. This borders Azerbaijan and the Shirvan carpet production region.This is a very traditional Sarabi motif.
This runner is dense and heavy — ideal for high foot traffic areas in a hall or near an entrance.
Good overall condition with overall general wear on the wool pile. The cotton fringes and side cords are in very good condition.
Despite the normal wear from decades of use, the rug is VERY solid and perfect for a high foot traffic area.
Sarab rugs are extremely well made and very durable.
