Bakaisch Kurdish rug

1930 NW Persian Kurd Medallion with Bakshaish border, D0371 56"x72" This is an elegant rug in excellent condition with thick pile displaying brilliant natural dyes of persimmon and robbin's egg blue.   The rug features a large medallion with an open field of abrashed persimmon red, balanced with quarter-size medallions in each corner spandrel. Symbolic dragons appear from each spandrel reaching toward the center medallion.
