This Classic example of a Josan Sarouk is woven in the town of Josan located between the village of Malayer and Sarouk in  Central Persia.

These densely woven, high knot count rugs are known for their prominent central medallion and exploded flower motif with outreaching filligree vines and  petals including colors of gold,saffron,red, and sandstone on an indigo field. of course the primary border includes the fringed undulating blooms.
