From Southwest Persia. Made by the Qashqai tribe with natursl dyes that seem to glow in the sun.
There are many 2-headed Sundogs and chickens and other zoomorphic figures that crowd any empty space. This Shiraz area rug stands out from the darker Shiraz in its golden yellow and burnished cranbery reds. This is a wool on natural wool and truly a tribal piece.
Pair with a thin floor pad as wool on wool is blanket like.
