Condition: Very good condition
Remarks: From a semi-nomadic Persian Turkmen tribe in Northeastern Afghan, these main carpets were woven from wool and goat hair of the tribe’s sheep and goats a d used as coverings in their lodgings or tents. The goat hair is readily seen in the rugs foundation as its fringe on both ends. Found at an estate sale in Michigan.
The colors of deep, rosy reds and camel are used and repeated in the guls that are evenly distributed acoss the rug.
