Remarks: This almost antique Kurdish rug was made in Northwest Persia by the Kurdish people who are known for their use of strong, resilient wool, rich natural dyes and a design that incorporates many symbols of birds,animals, herati (fish). Botefs, and other geo-morphic symbols. This piece has all of these attributes as well as retaining the kilim end at the top of the rug. There is even pile across the entire rug and the colors of French blue, coral, indigo and other colors are crisp,and shiny, There is evidence that this rug was hung on the wall which accounts for its great condition. Use it in your foyer, bedroom, living room, or any room in the house where you want that pop of sophisticated color and design and artistic piece.
